There is no visa obligation for citizens of the USA, as well as EU member countries (except Greece) in Namibia. Arriving at the airport in Windhoek you receive a residence permit for the vacation time - a maximum of 90 days. This tourist visa does not authorize you to work in this country. Your passport needs to be valid from the departure day for at least another 6 months. Person's traveling to South Africa must have 2 consecutive blank pages, the left and right hand page available in their passport. A parent travelling with children without the other parent will need a letter of consent, certified by the police, from the absent parent.
Recommended are vaccinations against hepatitis, tetanus and polio. During the rainy season in the time between January and May there might be the appearance of malaria in the far-northern areas. For possible prevention measures consult your doctor.
